Subject: no-till wheat behind previous years freeze damaged wheat and cotton?

Elkmont, AL
I am planning on no-tilling wheat behind last years failed wheat, which had cotton no-tilled into it. What im wondering will I have disease pressure on the next years crop from the previous years wheat? The failed wheat got about midthigh tall and I sprayed roundup on it and no tilled cotton, but theres still rotten wheat residue in the cotton. Im thinking of when I cut cotton stalks to try to cut them as low as I can and chew up all the residue I can. Most people in my area disk their wheat in, but im 100% no-till and the fields im talking about have been for a long time so disking away the residue in not an option. What's your thoughts and opinions.
