Subject: Re: Corn stalks for hay

NW Tennessee
I don't doubt that, but this is the first time in my life (I'm 46) we've been in this situation.  Those pictures were taken a few weeks ago. We've had some rain since then, grass has put up some, and we're only feeding stalks to supplement the grass now. We've got plenty of grass hay for winter, just using the stalks to get us through till then. We  don't have a very big herd, about 45-50 mama cows is the maximum # we can run on our pasture.
