Little River, TX | Locally we have what I would consider the ultimate in the Coop idea.
There was a need for a good grain facility. Eight or ten farmers put up money to put in a grain storage, handling facility along the railroad.
Then they put in a warehouse to store chemicals.
Then they put in a anhydrous handling facility. Place runs like a fine watch with 3 full time employees. No retail store or filling station, just a few large grain bins, a warehouse, and a bunch of nurse tanks and large AA storage tanks. No CCA on staff, no sales clerks, no coffee bar, just attention to business. | |
