Grand Rapids, MI | If you have a system that is working for you, I would not switch to a 'beta' version of anything. I have not installed Apex in any version, as I use Mapshots EasiSuite and it does everything that I need. From what my clients that struggle with Apex tell me, Apex is currently still a step down from JD Office. I would expect this would change over time, but its moving very slowly. I also know that Apex is a rescource hog, see the posts on here about new computers, etc. I have a client who could not believe that after working with apex for a bit, his hard drive went from 40% full to running into space issues.
If you are doing anything beyond the basics with precision ag, you really owe it to yourself to look into the EasiSuite product from Mapshots. It will import GS1 and GS2 (and most other formats) directly from your cards, and it is light years ahead of Apex/ JD office as far as functionality and power. | |
