| Drain the tank, unbolt, remove it, radiator, oil cooler( swing away), break the connecting shaft/coupling, break the lines. Using 6 point sockets take off the four bolts holding that cast trough that holds the pump in place. I repeat, 6 pt sockets. They will be tight and leave nothing to chance in rounding one off. They are in a bad place if that happens.
It has been 4 yrs since I did one. A few small details I am thinking about. One fitting on the left side, an oring fitting with a nut is an SOB to tighten and keep from leaking. Don't forget about the little black line too. Seal this stuff well when done for sake of trash sucked by the fan. They say in the book to time the pump a certain way with the crank. BS. Don't worry about it. Good time to change the harmonig balancer and waterpump too. | |
