Subject: grain bin safety

i had a freind get trapped in a grain bin today while trying to unplug the sump while loading out soybeans. the beans give way and it covered him over his head. he was lucky that the hired hand was close by to dig out his face so he could breathe. the rescue squad came and cut holes in the side of the bin and finally got him out. hes in the hospital right now but they think hes gonna be ok.

i also just seen on the news that a simmilar accident happend today a little futher south of us at a elevator. the man in this situation was trapped for about 8 hours i think and he didnt survive.

i just wanted to bring up that you can never be too careful around grain bins. i know there is a lot of grain being moved this time of year and i just want to remind every one to use their heads and be safe. maybe we wont have to hear about any more stories like this on the news.
