SW Minnesota | When I'm browsing used machinery listings in Nebraska, I see that there seems to be more wide-row equipment there than in most other parts of the country. I still run 36" rows here in SW Minnesota and sometimes wonder if I should switch to 30" rows (or narrower) or not. Any thoughts out there from those of you out there who farm thousands of acres on wide rows? What population do you plant your corn? Why are you still on wide rows when the majority of other growers are on 30" rows? Advantages/disadvantages? | |
