West Central Iowa | We ran a 6600 gear drive with the 329 engine for 15 years with a 643 corn head and a 653 row crop head for the beans. It worked fine and picked as fast as we could haul away with our setup. Ran a 7700 with the same heads for a few years. Lots more capacity with the extra walker and wider shoe but it is a much larger machine. I'm sure the later 6600's with the 404 and hydro would work better, but yes it can handle 6 rows. | |
