Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.
50/50 wheat fallow rotation gets the crop seeded, fallow worked an average of 3 times / year, crop harvested and hauled on about 2.5 gal / acre of wheat grown. Figures go back from 96 to present.
Even at $3 diesel it isn't a big item in the overall scheme of things.
