Subject: Re: fuel usage per crop

west Tennessee
for a cotton crop, on our farm, I think we use about 38,000 gallons , I will have to check last years records to get more precise for 3800 acres of cotton and 400 acres of grain. that includes our dozers and trackhoe. also includes hauling grain, hauling and applying our own fertilizer, spraying etc.
cotton burns a lot of fuel. just the harvesting operaration burns about 3 gallons per acre. heck my Duramax says it has had 1800 gallons burned through it in the last 13 months. Dave
