Don't let anyone talk you out of liquid fert., once you get converted to it, you will never want to go back to dry. True, it is a little higher cost but that is greatly offset by the efficiency you will gain.
I think that I would place the tank on the drill so that if the tractor has problems, you're not married to that particular tractor. The loss of vision on the drill will be a problem like you mentioned, but if the tanks are on the tractor then you will have to look around them, too.
What kind of a pump are you planning to use? I've seen it done with PTO, hydraulic (my vote) or a gas motor. All worked well. |
