Subject: Drive where?

Callao, Missouri
I just had a Ez guide 500 put in my tractor this afternoon to demo while spreading fertilizer. I demo'd a ez guide plus awhile back, and wasn't impressed. Overall, I'm still not happy with the 500 either.

I couldn't drive very well from the lines or from the screen, but maybe it just takes some getting used to. Also, about 3 pm today it acted up so bad that normal field operations would be impossible- even sitting still the lightbar said I was still moving. Another time I turned around and it led me to the opposite side of the previous pass- (it crossed over the pass just made).

It seemed to be more fatiguing to try to keep that little cluster of lights green than to just guess the distance from the previous pass.

Right now I can't imagine starting a spraying season with just this expensive gadget to guide me.
