One sure way to be able tio start a gas motor after it has been stored for more than a few weeks is if there is a fuel shut off on the motor by the gas tank the thing to do is before ya shut the motor off shut the fuel off and let the motor run out of gas and the put some fuel stabilizer in the gas that is left in the tank and you are good to go the next time you want the motor
