Central Kansas | Ordered a set of cover plates for my 2188 after Marvin returned my call this morning. Visited with him for near one hour and we also talked about his Air Jet chaffer. Would like to hear from all you that have this chaffer and how you like it. He told me of the soybean stems sticking in the holes but assured me that there were plenty of holes to catch the beans. Give me your thoughts on this and if you have had any problems with this. In talking with him, I mentioned in wheat, that a cleaner sample in the bin would be nice BUT I really wanted to solve the plugging of the return elevator in a cheaty wheat situation. He was very confident that this chaffer and with the combine "fine tuned", it would move the cheat out the back, resulting in very little return. Any of you harvesting wheat with cheat in it seen these results?
Might mention, he is a very knownledgeable man to talk to and seems to be the A/F guru. | |
