Subject: RE: Buhler 2210 info wanted

Southwest Illinois
Quite a few 8870 and 8970 models in the area. We have one with 3300 hours and we've had only a couple problems. At 2000 hours we replaced a pan gasket that was starting to weep pretty good and at 2500 hours we replaced the injectors. At 3000 hours the oil cooler up front developed a hairline crack on the input side. Other than minor issues and routine maintenance I hear of no problems even on ones pushing 5-6K hours. The Buhler models haven't made too many changes since the 70 series was released in 1994. Considering this tractor model is basically 14 years old and only had some minor updates it is still very comparable to the Red and Green offerings. The 70A series offered electric over hydraulic and I thin Buhler opened the tranny to insert the missing top 2 gears. They redone the look for 08 but haven't seen if they have made other changes.
