While I agree with you that a lease has no value at the end of the year, with the hour figures we have come up with, it would be hard to pay for as much equipment as we will have access to. I also have a full time job besides this selling fertilizer and chemicals. The people I work for also own a peanut buying point and a cotton gin, the gin owns cotton pickers and they can pick cotton cheaper than average prices. Long story short, using the numbers, historic yields, and current prices it will make money. I am nervous about this because this is the most money I have ever played with in my life, but you don't get anywhere without taking risks.
