Mount Vernon, WA		I can almost guarantee you the problem is with the pump. Other than external leaking, the steering motor (column as you call it) rarely gives trouble.

I would have someone who knows what they're doing pressure and flow test the pump. If I were a betting man, that's where I'd go first.
