We plant 7.5" beans. Have cut both 15" and 7.5". I like cutting 7.5" better since most of the head is cutting something and we felt you got better wear across the whole head. I knocked down less in the 7.5", and we cut the 15 at an angle. The neighbor cuts his 15" with the row but fights the divider between rows. We see about the same yield with the 7.5 and 15. One year the other may beat the other by a few bushels but the 15 does come up quicker.
