Subject: CaseIH Cyclo Planters...............Pto ran or Tractor hydralic ran.

Kansas
For years all I've been used to is the pto ran hydralics for the air system on the 800 cyclo we have currently.

Was looking at a used one yesterday and it runs off the tractors hydralics.

That's a really small pump to be to worried about a heat issue I guess but I would like to hear from anyone else that ran one of these drills with the tractors hydralics to see if there is anything I need to know or am missing about this setup.

Oh, I might mention, one hose had a restrictor in the line near the end that goes into the tractor outlet. Then underneath by the pump under the hopper, there was what looked like another one. Guy told me they pulled it with a 4840 deere. I was planning on using my 5240 maxxum.

What gives on the restrictors? Can't shut the flow down enough to make that pump spin slow enough?

Thank You for any advice on this matter.
