Subject: RE: Gov't Grain Bins

nw Iowa
I worked on two different crews back in the days these bins were set up. I'm in nw Iowa and the best bin in this area was a BS&B> I still have one left on the farm. Butler was one of the lightest. Of course different areas of the country had different brands. Was dependant on brand available in the area. Also who had the pull to make the sale. If you want to add a couple of rings, I would suggest some kind of angle iron stiffeners. We made some out of old windmill iron. That was back when I more time than money. Now I just have time!!! I have a BS&B laying around some where, Wind took it out, Not much damage and save the sheets. Where are you located? TIA Jerry Scheerhoorn Sanborn Iowa [email protected]
