Ayr Queensland Australia 4807 | I was needing a single wheel for a front of a machine and also to use it as a steering wheel, I thought of using a large diameter hydraulic cylinder rod about 4 inch in diameter or larger and mounting the cylinder tube in the frame of the machine have sufficient guides on the rod to ensure good support I would then add a control valve to add oil or remove it to adjust the height of machine and also include a nitrogen accumulator to give soft travel. For turning I would connect a steering cylinder to rotate the vertical cylinder rod .Has any one seen a piece of equipment like this or what are your thoughts on making such a unit.
