Kittitas Co. Wa. State | I don't know about the different sizes as relates to a "586" (don't know the make by model number). I would keep in mind 3 things thou, how far the different sizes throw the dirt, and how smooth the field is behind the disk, ie: ridges left behind, and will the larger disks fit in between frame's mounts etc. I would carefully watch for the thickness-quality of the blades. I kept breaking an ouside blade,, and finally found the local "green dealer" partsman had been selling me some cheapass blade made in Mexico after breaking the 4th blade in 3 years!! What a P.I.T.A. tearing the gang apart to replace the same broken center,,, to find out the partsman was selling a cheapass blade every time !!! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
I would definitely use the notched (coulter style) front blades to agressively cut through the organic matter in the front and smooth in the rear to leave the ground as smooth as possible.
realize it's not much help, (probably zero..) but at least some response eh?
just my 2 cents.
