| The 596 is CaseIH's heavy tandem disc, used for primary tillage. I just found out from Case today that I can buy 26" blades in 1/4" or 5/16" thickness. I think the 5/16" will cause the bearing spacing to be off. That is 3 blades between hangers will add 3/16" between bearing flanges. The hangers are weld mounted and not adjustable like the lighter duty disc. Will the notched blades wear faster than the smooth? | |
