Champions aren't what they use to be. I was having trouble fouling plugs in our older IH tractors (M, SM, SMTA,) and switched to the Autolites. According to Autolite the 3116 is the recomended plug for those tractors with the newer gasoline. They recomend the 388s for the 560s , etc. I was thinking that they said the 386 was the same heat range as the D-18.
