It will help us much in making our decision.

The silo in consideration is a 36 ft, 500 ton capacity with perforated floor, stirring system, fan, and automatic unloading. It will be used for wheat (or barley depending on the demand for beer!)

My concern about corrosion has the offspring from 2 power lines crossing our fields. The masts are heavy galvanized and after about 28 years they have just been taken down, sandblasted, regalvanized and put up again. They are now expected to last another 25 years which indicates that quality of materials and technics have not improved.

As sulphur is no longer present in the air the problem must be the short distance to the sea, about 10 miles.
