Quincy, IL | That's a hard question to answer without a lot of side-by-side data. Everyone I know who run precision say their stand is noticeably better which would lead to more ears per acre. I've been to the winter conference @ Precision and their sales pitch is "we want to give you 1000 more harvestable ears per acre". They equate that to 7 more bushels but I think it would depend where you're at...200+ bushel dirt or 120 bushel?
I'm a believer in Precision but the best way for you to know for sure would be to put their units in 1/2 your planter and leave originals on other half. Do stand counts in spring and weigh strips in the fall-that's the only way you'll know for sure. | |
