Two things you can do to help consistant planting on fall strip till. First is put baskets on your strip till units. This will help to level the strips somewhat so the winter settling will make them almost flat by spring. The second is to try a 13 wave coulter on your planter instead of the row cleaners. They will still clean any residue that maybe on the surface, work the planting zone slightly, and they help to keep the units from "drifting". Make sure you run them just shallower than your planting depth. As for as keeping the units from bouncing, make sure you use HD down pressure springs.
