...However, we have a calcareous (sp) subsoil which I think works its way upward. I have not figured out how, without tillage this happens. But we have some areas on the farm which have never needed lime(one farm in particular going back over 100 years). Even Grampa said they were "sweet" soils. I think after a few more soil sampling (by type) cycles I will be able to tell you for sure.
