John,

Did you have any wet, saturated conditions this spring????
I am an hour or so north of you and we had 3-4 weeks of wet, soggy weather right after planting.

In the areas in which the water stood, we had some nitrogen losses (that easily go unoticed) that have lead to some tip back.
Those areas are on good and bad soil and the N stress induced tip back is easily be confused for drought induced tip back.
Not sure how useful our yield maps will be this year.
