We have all Surge milking equipment, but I don't really see any brand out there that I would avoid. The reason we have Surge is the dealer support. Our parlor and milking equipment is 15 years old and we do have an occasional failure. Most of the time we can fix it ourselves, but sometimes we have to get parts or service. Our Surge dealer is only 3 miles down the road and will come out any day of the week and any time of the day if we need tech support or parts. The next closest dairy equipment dealer is 20 miles away and will not provide service on Sunday (mennonite) and some Saturdays. The next closest is over an hour away.

I would definately put dealer support high on my list of priorities when choosing new milking equipment.
