Milford, Illinois | In all fairness, I think the problem was caused by me. I watched the spray batch being mixed at the fertilizer plant and saw nothing improper being done. I had sprayed Roundup a couple weeks previous and thought I would be spraying Roundup next in the sprayer. I had a change in plans and sprayed Callisto instead. Sometimes one forgets exactly what he did after that much time has past. I probably rinsed out the Roundup in the Patriot sprayer with the water in the attached rinse tank but didn't back flush the 2" fill hose that is under the belly of the sprayer from the nose back to the tank. I'll bet there was enough in that hose to contaminate the 20 acre batch I mixed. That's something I'll be sure to never do again. | |
