here we use approx. 1/2 the seed rate of wheat in kg per ha.
Seed rates should be better defined in grains per square meter (or foot or whatever)...
Here we drill approx. 300 grains of wheat per sq. meter, what figures out to ~180 kg/ha, or 220 grains of rye resp. 90 kg/ha.

That all strongly depends on local climate, soil... so it is not a recommendation for you. Stay with local experiences.
