Building on what the others have posted here

1. Per FAA rules at this time, you cannot legally charge to do what you want to do. Now, are the FAA rules up for discussion, sure, are there laws to back them up.....also up for discussion, and what you do with that info is up to you. There are others currently doing what you are proposing (for hire) but Personally I don't/wouldn't fly for hire. Especially with new FAA regulations for commercial flight supposedly coming in the next 6 months or so. Just my 2 cents.

2. A true NDVI image is better than the False NDVI no doubt. If you're going to do it professionally, spend the $ and do it right.

3. If you really want to cover acres with a drone, a quad like the Phantom isn't the ship for you. It is great, but like another said, its mainly for quick pics and scouting. Sure it'll image as well, but its not its strength as you will have to have many many batteries on you to complete a task during the day. Stick to a winged machine for imaging. They (stereotypically) are much faster, more agile (can take higher wind loads) and have longer battery life (on a per acre basis) than a quad does at this time.

Just my 2 cents. Have a good one!
