Subject: RE: Drone computer

My HP Desktop has 10GB RAM, an i5 @ 3 GHz processor and a 1TB disc HD. I use Magix Movie Pro to edit my P3P video and it will regularly jump with 4K video, not crash though. I film in 1080p because it records at a higher frame rate and that edits nice and smooth, unless I speed up the video on the editor 3 or 4 times normal speed. I guess my recommendation is that you'll need more than I have. I bought this computer before my drone and while pleased with it now, it'll soon be outdated. Go with 16 or 32 GB RAM, a SSD HD, and a good video card so that you have some room to grow.

Here is a good link to Pix4D's recommendations for system requirements to run its software. I think its a good starting point for any of us looking to do aerial and NDVI mapping with our drones.
