Going to have to check your blood sugar. Maybe whip marks from LuAnn?

Lazy......................maybe soft, but never lazy. (:

Now, what I see here. Granted we have a wide range of soil types in this part of the country. I just don't see adding corn acres for the sake of corn acres. There is "corn" ground here and there is "not corn" ground. So here, any additional acres will have to come from corn corn rotation (or lack of rotation if you will) or corn on "not corn" ground. Both will/should lead to lower over all yield levels. I don't know if people are using that little fact when figuring out how many corn acres are needed to feed the projected demand.

I have 180ac of corn on "not corn" ground this year. Landowner's request. Several people I trust and are people that stand by their word have been "ordered" to smack me silly if they see our corn planter on that farm again. None have turned down the offer. Some even seem too happy. They are asking what shed we store the planter in..............................................may have to lock it up so it doesn't wander off to the wrong farm some night.

Tim
