I did the same thing this spring. Had a pasture that was being rented and the guy won't spray the weeds and the rent was cheap. It was covered with rock and had never been farmed. Long story short moved 25 semi load of rock, gave to the digger he sold it to landscape people only had to pay for excavator no trucking. Planted all I could with JD no till drill. I made the mistake of spraying in fall. If you can graze it hard than in the spring hit it with round-up when you have good growth. Here it was wet early than dry for June and July than wet Aug Sept. They look good and I am going to keep track of how much I get to see if I make more money than pasture rent ; > )
