| That is a good T.W. anytime. What was the corn's moisture? usually the wetter the corn the lower the TW but as it dries the t.w. should go up a little.
Like others have said 56# is standard. Best we have ever had was 64+, normally 58-61# dry. I try to stay away from varititys that have low TW. But if a corn with a lower TW, say 56-58, will outyield a similiar hybrid with a higher TW (over 60) I wouldn't be afraid to plant the one with the lower TW. Bottom line is you are paid on bushels & very few elevators pay a premium for high TW
There has been some problems with slightly lower t.w.s around here this year, nothing serious enough to get a discount. But have been hearin of corn 21-22% moisture only having a 54# tw.
