ron would changing the cables do anything to make the 1-2 3-4 shift, specifically the low side to high side shift better? I pulled the floor up yesterday and found the threaded yoke for the shifter, but changig adjustment didn't cause a significant change in the shift---sometimes it works normal and sometimes it doesn't. According to the tech manual for 4430(I know, but it's all I've got), this system can't get out of adjustment. If it's not working properly, it's because of a lack of oil pressure somewhere in the hyd. system. If that's the case looks like splitting the tractor could be what needs to happen to repair? I changed filters 40 hours ago, and hyd. oil 275 hours ago, and saw nothing of significance either place. Sump screen was also clean.
I appreciate all the help from everybody.........The Dumb Farmer
