| I dont have the service manual handy but will try to remember to consult it today. I bought my own flow meter for checking the PTO pressure and flows for just this reason. None of the local dealers had one. As I recall the flow has to be 1.8gpm-2.1gpm at those pressures. The pump system on these ptos is sort of odd. There is a screen inside under the cap that looks like a wheel bearing cap. It may need to be cleaned.
The reason for needing to know the flow is to determine how much leakby, if any, there is at engaging piston. The flow meter is hooked in the same way as the pressure guage. You should be able to put the pressure guage on the flow meter and check both at the same time. | |
