Subject: Try this

Galahad, Alberta
In a 5 gallon pail, mix some feed grain like oats or barley with some antifreeze. You want to make a slurry that you can scoop out and pour down the hole. I like to make it up the night before and let the antifeeze soak into the grain good. Then go out and put about a cup into every hole. Try to get it well down into the hole. Don't want any "nice" animals eating it. The gophers almost always die in the holes but I like to come back after a half hour and make sure there are none on top that any birds would eat. Note, have always used green anitfreeze, don't know if the red stuff is sweet tasting or not.
