I had a neighbor that used to stuff a hose from the pickup exhaust down the gopher holes. I have no idea if it worked but he must have thought so. I have found the best results with strycnine milo in a gopher machine. Run it in the spring when the weather breaks and the gophers are hungry. Traps are a good backup plan if you have the time.
