If you think you've got a problem with some lines, let your REA come and take a look. What was okay when it was put in years ago might be against code now, and if it's on their side of the service entrance, it's their responsibility to fix. (Our REA showed up out of the blue one day at our grain bins and said they had a code violation on their side of the meter, and they put the pole in a better place, and ran new underground cable to the meter.)
