I would suggest giving INDOT a call as this is a gray area. On one hand if he's hauling your grain it shouldn't be a problem but it could be looked at by INDOT that he is hauling "For HIre" 7 would need commercial plates on the trailer. If you owned the tractor it wouldn't be a problem. I kow of several farmers around here that use their commercial tractors on farm plated trailers hauling their own grain
