That's really interesting...I suppose if you can band lots of P and keep diseases at bay with wide rows you've won part of the battle. Are you hardcore ridge-till and replant on the same ridge every year or do you perform some tillage in the fall ? I know in your area corn can be a real challenge if you get a wet or a dry year with the clay ground , but what about on ridges? Have you seen any decline in OM? with 6 years of beans...
