| Had to make the same decision 3 years ago. Either STX 325 or JD 9220. Looked over the brochures, sat in the machines and was leaning towards the deere. Took them both for a drive and ended up buying the case. It was quieter in the cab than the deere and in my opinion had better ergonomics. The STX has the 16 speed powershift and the deere dealer was only interested in selling the 24 speed synchro.
I would make the same decision again. As regarding setting the hydraulics, once you get used to the system, it's easy to use. And that seat heater is a great idea, your back still feels fresh at the end of the night.
