sw corner Ia | I cut them from a blank after getting fed up with the graphite which always wore off in about an hour.
Took me a while to figure out what size seed the drum holes liked. I always thought med to large rounds would fit in those holes real good, but it never worked right, till I had some plateless seed one year that had a dozen bags of small flats, and this thing would shoot them into the ground almost (not quite) as perfectly as a finger pickup would. I guess the brush can sweep off the extra one easier? who knows, I don't care, it works really well. I know a lot of red guys who are pretty much blind to any other color dumped these because they just couldn't figure it out. Lucky for me, I found a nice 955 this spring and stripped the old 800.
I plant beans with a case drill that uses fluted rolls, and it is good enough there is no way I would graft cyclo modules on there. | |
