We've got a planter about like Cliff's.  What I like about the cyclo for beans is that it drops what you set it for.  We've drilled far more beans then we've planted over they years, so I'm well aware of how to make a drill work....it's just a matter of calibration....but if you are planting several varieties the cyclo just simplifies things a bit because you can pretty much assume it will drop what it's set for instead of having to calibrate for every different seed size with the drills.
