Aberdeen MS | I have to agree with you on something will break. Although I don't have any experience with a C12.
I've driven close to a million miles OTR, and driven Detroits, Cummins, and Cats. A straight 250, 290, 335, 350 Cummins and Cat, 400 Cummins and Cat, 425 Cat. In the low hole with any of them (cept the 290, that had a 5 speed with 3 speed rear end) one can do serious damage unless extremely careful.
I can be accomplished in 2nd as well if one doesn't know what they are doing.
Try to "cowboy and rodeo" a big rig... one will find just how big a check book is needed to keep it.
I've seen guys when it's a bit tough going, just treat it like a gasser and stomp on it.... I keep waiting to hear the drive line snap when they are almost doing wheel stands from the bouncing. | |
