| Looking at new row cleaner/coulter options for "project" planter we are working on. I really like the looks of the Dawn 1572, but floating row cleaners in front of the coulter is the SOP in this area. I think the concept of cutting the residue down the middle so that it is divided for the row cleaners is a good idea, but I am concerned about hairpinning heavy wheat stubble. The planter will be used to plant double crop beans and sorghum immidiately following harvest. For corn, we are all strip till, so I think either configuration would work. Is this a valid concern??
