NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | I’ve got a 2007 Silver Eagle Dixie Chopper mower that the blades just quit working. My wife was mowing today and the deck blades just quit. In all the years we've had this it’s never done this before. The mower deck belt has less than 5 hours on it. Looking underneath while my wife is sitting on the seat and trying the switch up and down the deck clutch won’t engage. I bought this new and have had excellent luck with this mower. I’ve only replaced belts, blades and some mower blade bearings in all the years we’ve had it.
I’m guessing it might be the electric clutch motor or possibly the electric engagement switch. Just looking at the wires everywhere I don’t see anything obvious bad. I will call my dealer in the morning but thought I’d put it on here for suggestions where to start looking. Thanks.
